THE JIM KEMMY MEMORIAL TROPHY
This Award commemorates the late Alderman Jim Kemmy TD (Labour), twice Mayor of Limerick, who was one of Ireland’s most notable politicians. A champion of the Arts in Limerick and a great friend to the Limerick Art Society – he never missed a society event! The award was originally conceived as a way of recognising gifted Leaving Certificate students, but the trophy is now awarded under more general terms of reference, in recognition of excellence in art for loyal service and dedication. |

Designed and engraved by Paul Grimes, the noted Limerick artist.
